MEXICAN DAY OF THE DEAD at Kimball Office Furniture

It happened on November 30th, the night before Halloween. Sort of a warm up before the big event of the Halloween Parade, when for one night, New York shows New Orleans how much they need to improve their Mardi Gras. For all intents and purposes, the Kimball Office space became a Mexican enclave complete with non-stop Mexican cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and even a Mariachi band.

Alex Gross' last solo exhibition ran from October 9th to November 8th at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. This exhibition coincided with the release of Alex's latest book, entitled, "Future Tense, Paintings By Alex Gross, 2010-2014." The Book, published by Gingko Press, is 96 pages, and features 40 paintings from the last 5 years.

TREASURES OF TRIBAL ART

International dealers specializing in the art of traditional cultures came together for a group show in New York City. The Madison Ancient and Tribal Art (MATA) Fall 2014 show took place on November 8-11 at the Arader Gallery.

Other MATA locations included the prominent Pace Primitive, a leading gallery specializing in tribal art form Africa and Oceania; Arte Primitivo, and Hunt Fine Arts.

CHRISTIAN SIRIANO: "Silhouette" Fragrance Launch

Silhouette officially launched on Sept. 3, but for Fashion Week, Siriano opened a 16-day pop-up shop devoted to the fragrance at in the heart of the HiLine Park district, and has plans to take the concept to more cities nationwide.

MICHAEL ARAM Celebrates the 25th Anniversary of His Firm

To celebrate his firm's 25th year anniversary, Michael Aram, who has dazzled the design community for years, had a cocktail reception on October 16th at his showroom in Chelsea.

The glittering metalwork of intricate foliage, outstretched wings, and other forms were rendered in silver and gold hues as part of the new Atelier sculpture collection.
