On January 30th, designer
Maggie Norris and jeweler
Michel Piranesi banded together at
Selima Optique to show off their latest creations. For Maggie, it was the unveiling of her new design in eyewear, 'Marlene'. V.I.P.s in the worlds of fashion, the performing arts and the social scene made up the spirited crowd.

Very noticeable was the way Michel Piranesi chose to display his designs. For all the world it looked like the kind of display tables that street sellers have on the sidewalks of New York City. Upon closer inspection though, one realized that both the stones and mountings of every piece of jewelry were made of precious materials.
