"Media, Science and Art exert powerful influences over all of us through continuous, evolving processes of reflection and creation. My “Stargazer” series explores the relationship between the enchantment of the star system and the captive participants watching the abundance of objects in it. Each of the works demonstrating a mood of tragedy and/or ecstasy. My work uses juxtaposed images to comment on the deep and delicate role the media plays in the shaping of our complex lives, identities, and consciousness. Each collage is hand-manipulated using images from reference books, magazines and advertisements with the goal of transformation as a way of commenting on the source material."
