REX RAY for B+N

reporter: Miguel Dominguez

The Launch of the collaboration between B+N Industries and artist Rex Ray was celebrated at the Eyebeam Gallery on December 6th. The venue was transformed into a showcase of this new line of products; featuring Infused Veneer Panels, carved relief Iconic Panels, and furniture pieces, complemented with Rex Ray designs. His mid-century modern aesthetic has become instantly recognizable internationally, and Rex's use of color, shape, and wood grain are the perfect addition to B+N’s current broad offering of product.

B+N Industries is known as an innovative designer and manufacturer of Architectural Panels, Merchandising Systems, and furniture for the Contract, Hospitality, Architectural and Retail Industries, who is constantly looking for new ways to infuse impactful and individualistic solutions. They are proud to announce the association with Rex Ray.

Rex Ray’s artwork ranges from collage on paper, canvas and resin boards to digital work. His work is made entirely by hand. The collages are made with hand-painted and printed papers hand cut with scissors. His work combines a mid-century modern aesthetic with psychedelic color palette and shapes. Ray is known for popularizing the use of high-gloss resin panels – encasing his colorful, graphic collage designs in a gorgeous glossy layer of resin.

Abstract and handcrafted, with a retro-futuristic feel, Rex Ray’s work is always identifiable, whether seen on museum or gallery walls, in hip restaurants and boutique hotels — or on book, CD covers or rock posters. He has worked on a wide range of custom projects for Apple, Dreamworks, Swatch and David Bowie, among others. B+N Industries is proud to have his inimitable talent forged into its lines of Infused Veneer™ Panels, carved relief Iconic Panels™, and a new line of wood furniture.
